Doggone Grief Board Game
We are pleased to introduce this excellent new resource designed to help children share their feelings about a special person who has died. Communication is the first step to healing.
Players pick dog tokens and then roll the dice to move around the game board. When the token lands on an emotion space (happy, sad, mad, scared, or wild) the player picks a dog card. The emotions cards show dogs in various activities that reveal their grief emotions, too. On the back of each card is a statement about what is going on with the dog in the picture and a question for players to answer about themselves or their loved one who has died.
We think this is a great new resource for parents and counselors working with grieving children.

The Dog Gone Grief board game is a great way to talk about the feelings and emotions a child experiences after a death of someone in his or her life. This game uses pictures of dogs experiencing different emotions and urges the game player to share his or her feelings. Sadness, fear, worry are some of the emotions discussed in this game. I use this game to gently open discussion about the death of someone in a child's life.
